Is this commission-only? +

Yes. Field Representative roles are 100% commission, paid every Friday, with no cap and no clawbacks. You start closing deals with your leader in Week 1 — so you're earning from the first appointment, not after a month of unpaid training. Senior and Lead tracks add overrides and team bonuses as you promote up.

What am I actually selling? +

Home service — HVAC, solar, and home energy upgrades — for major brands across Ontario. You're the face of established companies with real products, warranties, and government-backed rebate programs. Customers hear you out because the offer is legitimate. Your job is to convert the appointment, not to convince them the category exists.

Do I need sales experience? +

No. Most of our top operators came in with zero sales background. What you need is a willingness to be coached, a high work rate for 90 days, and a clean presentation. We handle the training.

How fast can I get promoted? +

Our fastest promotions to Field Lead have been around 5 months. There are three defined gates between Rep and Territory Owner. None of them are political. If you hit the numbers and can teach the system to someone else, the next rung is yours.

What does a typical day look like? +

Morning huddle. Calendar full of pre-set appointments. You close for 6-7 hours in your territory. End-of-day numbers logged. Leaderboard updated. You own your production. We own the system behind it.

Is this just another field sales job? +

No. Altera is operator-led, not rep-led. That means the owners are in the field, the infrastructure is real (CRM, dispatch, call center support, defined territories), and the path to leadership is structural, not rhetorical. We'd rather lose the rep who only wants a quick score than fake a career ladder.
